Color Wisdom Cards Can Guide Your Creative Endeavors

Hartman, Tori.  Color Wisdom Cards:  A Spiritual Toolkit.  Los Angeles:  Jupiter Press, 2009.

I was somewhat familiar with Tori Hartman through Twitter, but my interest was really piqued when I later, a few months ago, tuned in to hear one of her podcasts.  I kept on thinking, while hearing her answer other callers’ questions, She’s the real deal!  However, I couldn’t be certain until I called in myself to ask a personal question.  Fortunately, she both took my call, and she didn’t disappoint in her reply to what I’d asked.  She vibed on my energy a bit via pleasant conversation before pulling a card for me from her COLOR WISDOM CARDS to directly answer my biggest question at the time, too.  She told me the good things about me and my situation, but she also didn’t shy away from giving me gentle insight into areas I might want to change as well—if I wanted to grow.  She was spot-on—like other Psychic friends I’ve been fortunate to know and grow from.  Yet, as time went by, I also had other questions, so I felt that owning my own COLOR WISDOM CARDS might be the way to go.  There are many ways to use the card deck and accompanying book that I happily got.  I personally started out just reading the book first, fascinated by the fables within—also included in the Introduction of the book is Hartman’s own real-life story of her near death experience in 1988.   Oftentimes, a near death experience and psychic ability are inexorably linked.  So, it seemed quite feasible to me that spirits recited the fables to her and they all came to her in colors:   “bathed in a hue that created a backdrop for the story that was presented” (p. 13).  Sample Divination Layouts are included at the back of the book, but she also encourages you to “be open to creating your own spreads” (p. 356).  Personally, after first reading the book, I’ve had success with the simple One Card Reading as a complete answer at the time to my direct question.  Plus, the reading of the book has given me great insight into my current and past situations overall.  I strongly recommended these cards and book for those with an open mind and even those without, for as I read in one of Hartman’s tweets (realizing I, too, could also stand to forever keep this in mind):  “We desire the familiar when the unfamiliar may be the best thing for us.”
