The home town boys made good of 1990’s fame, Collective Soul ended its 8-week Dosage Tour at a sold out show at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday July 7.
Crowds of fans wrapped around the block, eagerly excited and prepared to be amazed by Collective Soul’s energetic performance. They started the show off by playing the Dosage CD in entirety, which happened to be recorded in Atlanta in ’98 and released in ’99.
Following an intermission, the band returned to the stage for the second set, in which the band performed its hits for the jam-packed crowd of fans, including “Welcome,” “Better Now,” “Forgiveness,” “Gel,” “Hollywood,” “Why PT2,” “Precious Declaration” and “World.” For the encore, Collective Soul performed “December” and “Shine.”
Collective Soul put on an earnest show that proved that nearly 15 years after the fourth record went platinum, the band and the record still lie in the hearts of the adoring fans, and hits a chord with them like no other.
