The low E flat, in the beginning of "Back Against the Wall," sets the foundation of a haunting Queen Of the Damned style intro.
After little more than a minute into this hypnotic dance you are assaulted, temporarily, with a musical shift reminiscent of Slayer's "Evil Has No
Boundaries." When the vocals begin the dance returns, and an irresistible pull to let go dominates every bar until the final measure.
The powerful and crystal-clear vocals of George Call slither like a snake wrapping itself around an ear drum, squeezing out an intoxicating line.
Singing the harmonic minor of Eb, as Call does here, gives the vocals its Gypsy feel. Self-control melts away with each slippery 8th note coming from
Mick Cervino's Spector bass. The drum style of Matt Thompson adds an earth-pounding feel on the cusp of an altered state of thinking that seems to have
an effect on Mick Cervino's guitar solo until its end when he finally breaks free from the spell unleashing a flurry of notes that seem to deliver a
sweet, but fatal, blow. Mick Cervino played bass, guitars, guitar synth, and keyboards on "Back Against The Wall," which can be purchased on I-Tunes
and Amazon MP3. Spector basses, Gallien-Krueger amplifiers, Dean Markley strings, Dunlop electronics, and Levy's leather all endorse Mick Cervino.
